It’s all in the song

I always wish there was someway to capture the moment when I hear a song for the first time and fall instantly in love. I get this feeling of absolute wonder & bliss, like nothing else matters & for the minutes of the song, I am free to just enjoy the lyrics and rhythm. Music can make or break my mood, can make me go from exhausted to dressed & ready for a night of dancing and is in general a major part of my life. The song I wanted to share with you today is a song that I first heard driving in my car and I actually had to pull over and stop to fully absorb it. It was that instant love that I often, but rarely enough get to still make me stop in my tracks. The culprit of my most recent music love affair goes by the name Ed Sheeran and is a mere 20 years old (he is only the biggest thing in the UK right now so you most likely have heard of him!) This song, the A team has been utterly abused on every music player I own and I still can’t get sick of it. So today, I encourage you to wait until you are somewhere that you can sit, and listen to this song, and for 4 minutes, be taken away like I am every time that first note plays.

Enjoy xx

psst – Did you know Mr M & I still don’t have a song together? Couples still do that right? It’s been 4 and a half years, we’ve been through everything possible together, are more in love than ever, and have never been able to chose something for ‘us’. We have songs that are each others to the other (i.e. Michael Buble’ – everything, and Lior, this old love are my songs to him), but just not our own. Do you have a song with your significant other? How did you settle on such an important decision? I’d love to know.

When I hear a song I like, I can play it for days, weeks even months without getting sick of it. Good luck finding your song with Mr M 🙂 xoxo

My husband and I have no song, either, but after 11 years we don’t even think about it. We are very different from one another and we’ve learned to cherish those differences. One of the ways we do so is by introducing each other to different styles of music….often via “dueling iPod” nights. These always end up sparking great discussions, about music and many other things. 🙂

Fantastic song! He’s got a great voice (and such a cute accent!). I loooooove that Lior song – we used it at our wedding when we were signing our wedding certificate… and I walked down the aisle to Jack Johnson Better Together. We had an amazing guy play at our wedding xx

Great song, Anna! I just reblogged and gave you a shout out at

About the wedding song, don’t feel too bad. My fiance and I have been together for 9 years and we don’t have a song! We gotta get on that!

Great song. It’s okay not to have a song yet and it’s totally okay not to have a song.

That’s a great song and I’m the same: music can really influence my mood.

Don’t “decide” on a song for you and Mr, one day you’ll hear a song together that completely fits in the moment and you’ll both know that’s “the one” 😉 xo

I have to say I agree with you all in that finding a song with Mr M will just happen 🙂 I think that’s why we havent got one yet, we’ve never had that moment where we go uh huh!

@Jill – I especially love ur idea of dual ipod nights – what a fun way to share some of your different tastes (Mr M & I sound similar to you both and have tastes that are polar opposite!)

@Dan – Ron Weasley? haha People say he LOOKS like him anyway.. not sure who else he sounds like though, I feel his got a beautifully unique voice (especially live!)
