There is something so refreshing about weekends filled with everything that you want it to be filled with. Plans that you made that you genuinely wanted to stick to, coffee dates you booked in with excitement and hang outs that you have been really looking forward to. My weekend was packed full of the ‘good stuff’ and even involved a surprise impromptu present from mum who picked me up to take me to get a massage after I’d complained of a sore shoulder in our weekly yoga class – don’t worry I know I have a special one in her. I seem to be finding the perfect balance with life at the moment and have a good mix of quiet nights in, loud nights out and taking extra good care of myself – & Mr M of course. These Monday posts have grown to become quite the ‘stick to your word Anna’ promises as I have now officially planned the ‘something incredible’ for Mr M that I first mentioned in this post, and I’ve also managed to order myself some gorgeous items from Printstagram which I only mentioned for the first time last week With that in mind, and loving finding inspiration in all things pretty – here is this weeks snapshot of what I’m crushing hard. pssst – you can follow all my boards & inspirations here
I have been blonde, then brunette, then blonde, then brunette then blonde then….you get the picture. But this girls hair inspires me to grow it to that length and keep it brunette forever. SO gorgeous & amazing hair envy.

I have big dreams and a crazy imagination when it comes to my future home – but as soon as I saw this picture -I first posted it on my dating websites facebook page – I knew it would certainly feature somewhere in my big backyard as a permanent outdoor movie area. It’s love.

The older I get the more I believe in Karma – but I think these are just some simple rules to live by if you need a gentle reminder every once in awhile

When Mr M & I are home from Europe I have big plans to do a few exciting fundraisers for the charity I volunteer for and one idea is to host my very own special High Tea – I don’t know much about it yet, but what I do know is that these little cups of decadent goodness will certainly be on the menu

I am trying to think of creative ways to do my hair when we’re in Europe so I don’t live in a constant high bun or pony tail – so when I saw this hair DIY I knew I had to give it a try. The steps to easy beach curls in less than 5 minutes are as follows: 1. Divide your hair into two parts. 2. Twist each section and tie with a hair tie. 3. Run your straighter/flat iron over both of the twist a few times. 4. Untie twists, and you’re done.

This is a great post 🙂 I am going to try my hair like that now too! It looks like it’s quite a fast way to get curls or waves. It would be nice if you could stop by my blog again, I have made some changes to it and I think you might like it 🙂

Love this all… especially the quick and easy beach curls – I love that whole look and haven’t come across a really easy way of doing it before. Am so pleased you have the perfect balance right now, I’m getting better but am by no means there yet. Can’t wait to hear about your suprise for Morgs!

I know I’m almost nervous about trying the DIY beach curls in case it doesn’t work on my hair as it will be soooo amazing if it really works. I suck at doing my hair so this could be my new little lifesaver 🙂 p.s I will post the surprise for Morgs when it all happens 🙂

It’s amazingggg – you get to do your own little stickers and books (& even t-shirts) from your own Instagram photos. Love it!! I’ve ordered quite a few little books off there and used my gf’s instagram photos to give to them on bdays as little ‘extra’ pressies 🙂 xx

That hair technique looks interesting! I’ll have to try it – Pinterest I do love but sometimes there’s so much on there, it’s overwhelming.

That backyard!! Oh my goodness – what a dream!! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have that in my backyard. Honestly, I would take my dinner and a glass of wine out there every night.

And, i have been wanting to try that on my hair! It looks so fast and easy – i think i might attempt to that this week.

Ah Julia I so agree. I think it would be a shame to have such a beautiful setting and not use it 🙂 So I would live out there. Hope the hair trick works on your hair 🙂 I’m dying to try it out on mine.

  11. Lately I’ve been washing my hair, letting it dry a fair bit, putting in some mouse, braiding it in two sections (obviously this is in the afternoons/evenings when I’m at home), spraying some Toni&Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray onto the braids and leaving them. In the morning I undo them, put a little more of the sea salt spray and I’m ready to go 🙂

    • Anna Reply

I have to learn how to braid! I am so naughty I haven’t even mastered that at my age. I had wanted to buy some texturising spray to take to Europe as I think it will be my go to hair product most days. I’ll have to pay more attention to your Instagram & blog photos to see this hairstyle in action – it sounds like exactly what I want to do though 🙂 x
