Creating your own Dream list of goals

15 months ago, when I sat there writing my 25 before 25 list, music blaring, heart thumping…
I never knew my how.
I just sat and I wrote.
No inhibition, no doubt, no insecurities about what if I didn’t achieve it. I just wrote.
The secret though? Is that I knew my why.
I knew I wanted to feel excited, engaged, aligned, accomplished,  soul defyingly happy. That was my why. I wanted to have little goals to chip away at to live with purpose and to give me those feelings I hope to feel every day.
And because the universe had my back and I so willingly trusted in that – I had opportunity after opportunity to fulfil each goal.
I want to hand it over to YOU though. 
Today is the day that I want you to wake up your desire, help your soul whisper a little louder to your heart and make you work out your WHY before you sit and write out your big, small and in between goals.
Having big BOLD colourful exciting goals are what make you, you, what keep your spirit on fire and help make life interesting.
So here is what I propose.

What have you always wanted to do that you have just never thought as putting as a goal? What would you love to do? What would go on a list that would make you fulfil your why.
It doesn’t have to be scary – just make sure they’re aligned with you. Don’t put anything on your list just to fill it. Take time with this process. It’s a list that will serve as a  dream deadline and that is so exciting – don’t rush it, you are about to put down things that will light you up, fuel you, excite you … lead you to awe inspiring moments and that is a process to be honoured.
I chose 25 before 25, but go for whatever works for you. Maybe it’s 30 before 30 or or even 21 before 21. Another amazing idea 2 girlfriends came up with after some inspiration from the 25 before 25 was ..13 in 2013 (but you can even say 14 for 2014…do you get where I’m going with this?)
WRITE THEM DOWN!!! Pin them where you can see them everyday. Take a photo and put it as a screen saver on your phone.
But maybe most importantly … SHARE THEM. This is your big beautiful declaration to the universe. You’re here and you have some kick ass not to mention FUN goals to tick off – the universe has your back, your heart & soul are cheering you on to succeed and your family & friends will want to help with your journey. Sharing them just makes it more real and you more full and utterly supported.
And gorgeous – I would LOVE to hear them…even just some. Consider this your first little task of declaring them, even just 2 or 3 of the ones you resonated with the hardest. This is our space of inspiration and I’d be honoured to be a part of your list. Share them in the comments below.

Straight from the heart; How do you want to see your life at the end of it all?

There I was, justtt starting to go in to the amazingly deep, peaceful place I go when lying in savasnah after my weekly yoga class, when something came in to my mind so bright and bursting with vivid colour I knew I had to pay attention.

It was me. Sitting there literally watching my life flash before my eyes. The key moments that had contributed so deeply and richly to my time on earth.

I was frozen. In savasnah. I literally felt like I couldn’t move, like something was pushing down on me and I was wrapped in so much heat and love.

I couldn’t look away. Iwas seeing me in my minds eye and I was just so happy. So fulfilled.

And I lay in that moment and allowed it all to wash over me.

I know where it had come from too – days before, I had woken at my normal 5am time and was SO full of amazing energy I had to share it (my cleanse and detox I’m currently on is to thank for that), and this is what came out (shared on Instagram and my facebook)

“I woke up this morning with so much love & gratitude I could burst. This is life. This is real life. We have a life to live Exactly how we Desire it to be. I need you to know the power of that. You don’t know when your time is up, you truly don’t. Are you driving to work wishing you didn’t have to go?? Stuck in an unhappy relationship? Are you unhappy with the person who stares back at you in the mirror? WHY?? You are totally in control of your life. Every second of it. What are you doing to bring as much love, joy & fulfilment in to your days? We have time, plenty of it – 24 hours a day to do one thing that scares us, makes us laugh, fulfils us, to smile at a stranger, laugh with our loved ones, cuddle the shit out of our favourite people or pick a new goal or dream to chase. Our time on this earth is sacred – use it wisely. I want to be screaming & laughing, tearing up & clapping wildly when it’s my life that has flashed before my eyes & I wish the same for you”

Days later when I had allowed my mind and body to rest I literally envisioned this exact moment – and you know, it was so emotional. My saw before me that my life had been lived exactly how I wanted it. I had loved, sohard. I had left everything on the table. I had given, travelled, laughed….the feeling envisioning this was unexplainable.
There was I, sitting watching my life crying and laughing and hooting and throwing popcorn at the scream clapping wildly.

And something clicked. Harder than it ever had before.

I had an uh-huh moment.

Instead of giving you direct advice today I felt it so strongly on my heart to instead just share my own uh huh moment so you can hopefully take something from it.

So here goes.

This is my life and I am in total control of how it can be lived. Im here. In these moments. Every day I wake up. Living. Alive. Breathing. Gifted day after day after day with more time.Time to connect to our source of love and fulfilment. Time to fill our days with things and people we love. Time to be in a moment so great and so full of love it doesn’t feel real. And I don’t ever want to get in the way of that. I don’t ever want to let the insecure me or the self doubting me or the un sure me or the fear me get in the way of the Real me. The me who believes in herself. Who wants to live as if it really truly is my last ever day on earth. The me who gets to live life exactly as I hope, wish and desire it to be. And sure, they’ll be losses, disappointment, let downs, anxiety, complete uncertainity and deep deep moments of sadness– and I’ll surrender to those moments, honour those moments, mourn the moments – but know in my heart that I’m still here. Living.Alive. Breathing – and that is the greatest gift imaginable.

At the end of this life as I watch back over my life and take in the moments, the love, the travel, the laughs, the giving, the tears of the joy and sadness…I want to be so filled with love, so filled with joy, so filled with emotion knowing that I had lived those moments, lived my life by my own design, and know that I took control of that and had given ME those moments. I truly honestly want to be proud of the life I lived, emotional at the life I lived and be crying and laughing and hooting and hollering so loud remembering all of the moments I shared.

And giving me all of that starts NOW.

I want to help. To serve, to uplift, to inspire, to laugh, to love – I want to live. As though heaven is on earth and if I died today those who I loved knew it with all their soul and I had lived each and every day doing exactly what I desired with a heart full of love and a belly full of gratitude.

My happiness list

My cup’eth is overflowing with so much love, excitement and happiness at the moment it is ca-ra-zy. Things are just gel’ing you know? 
I felt like I have been eb’ing and flow’ing with life a whole lot better than I have in the past and am just, in general, digging life really really hard. 
It could be because I feel like I’ve not just been managing my time so much more effectively recently, but after learning about how important it is to manage our thoughts for stress – I’ve been doing just that. Or maybbeeeee it’s because I have been oh so grateful for every tiny thing in my life at the moment – like traffic wardens who will stand outside rain, hail or shine to get young kids across roads safely or the sunlight that streams through my front window every morning …. but whatever it is, I am totally rolling with it. Big Time. 
As you read this, I’ll be celebrating my 25th birthday, yup, a quarter of a century – and I’ll be ‘catching up on life’. I took a (very) rare day off work to actually do stuff that is good for my soul. Write. Relax. Create. Eat. Chill with my loves. So as I do that, here are some other things that have made it on to my happiness list in recent times…
Planning my 25th picnic
I have to say, the last few weekends have been so fulfilling and fun for me as it had involved lot’s of planning for not just Morgs & I’s impending engagement party but my 25th birthday picnic I was oh so excited about. It was just one of those days. One of those perfect days. The styling for the picnic went off without a hitch, Perth put on some absolutely saucy weather – a beautiful sunny 28 degree day, and I was surrounded by all my favourite family and friends. I honestly a.d.o.r.e.d piecing together all the pretty elements for the day and think if I could quit my job tomorrow and become a coach slash event stylist and organiser – I would do it in a millisecond. (special / huge thanks goes to my wonderful girlfriend Deanne who made the table runner, a surprise 25th birthday banner & 5 liters of Sangria – yup 5 beautiful liters!!) 

My inspiration cards

I don’t think I need to say much else other than how much I really do love and adore my new cards I got for my birthday (from another beautiful girlfriend Belinda). I ensure that before I leave home for the day to go and work my 9 hours in the corporate world (that I’m working hard to leave) I sit for an hour in my lady cave with my inspirational words (& vision board) around me. 
How can you not start your day in spectacular fashion when you have the following surrounding you?

My new detox + Lifestyle

Game changer. Life changer. Shit freaking hot. 
These are just 3 ways in which I would describe the current life changing detox Morgs & I are currently on. I had been searching for sometime for something that would give me a detox, and I mean, a soul nurturing, nutrient rich, non toxic proper detox. Not for weight loss. Not for a quick fix. Not a one off thing. An actual, healthy, amazing detox. Not just with clean eating etither. I do that. Morgs & I don’t eat pasta/rice/bread, we eat a shit tonne of veggies and we rarely eat processed or sugary foods. I wanted something to aid me in weight maintenance though, to clear my body of it’s toxins, and pump it right back up again full with rich, much needed nutrients.
My biggest reason for wanting this though was about wellness. I am convinced we are slowly becoming more & more toxic by the lack of nutrients in our soil and vitamins in our food and daily intake.
It’s not about being skinny either, it’s about being healthy. 
It’s also  not about a quick fix, oh no, it’s about a whole lifestyle change.
I am SO excited to say I have found exactly what I was looking for in Isagenix.
It’s my reset. 
I am currently on day 2, just day two and I already feel the difference. Day 1, was the first time in my working career life (that’s 10 years people) that I actually didn’t crave 3pm sugar hit. At all. I’m talking, I walked in to the kitchen, and didn’t even give a second glance to the bowl of chocolate & oreos that is available to me at any point of the day. This morning, when my alarm went off at 5am, without thinking, I just woke up. No grogginess  no feeling like a train hit me, I wanted to get up.
If I am like this after 2 days, I am literally jumping out of my skin with excitement once I finish it in a month (I’ll be doing a detox every month now for as long as I live).

This amazing article 

I am, without a shadow of a doubt a wisdom seeking, soul searching kinda gal. I believe due to us all having incredibly powerful, unique sets of gifts – there will always be somebody who knows an awful lot more than me and can guide me when I need it most. 
So when I read this article over at tinybuddha – my heart skipped a little fluttery beat. It was “How to let go of fear to live passionately and authentically” – BOOM. It’s all that I seek right now and so when I happened to just stumble upon it by accident I thanked the universe for it’s divinely loud, but clear message. 

The crux of it?

1. Do less, be more
2. Plan less, live more
3. Dwell less, create more.

Simple. Powerful. Beautifully true.

Being engaged + the love of my life

No matter what I have going on in life anymore – be it calm or mayhem, bliss or sadness, excitement or craziness, there is not a minute, hour or day that goes by that I am not grateful for the wonderful man that I have by my side for it all. He is just THAT guy. The guy who is my rock when I am supporting others. His the guy who gets me, knows me, supports me, has fun with me, will fight with me because of a passionate love and is just honestly the most amazing man I’ve ever come across on this earth.

My god do I love him. I love him so much, I sometimes think my heart will explode. 

It’s almost 4 months since I said yes, as the sun rose over a Dubai desert and it was and always be the easiest decision I ever made in my life.

How to turn what you want in to a reality

Like almost everything in life I believe that there are two sides to your happiness and success. 
First, you have to want to do it – you know, hit the goal, drop the kg’s, save money to get on a holiday, do the detox or be more positive. And Secondly, you have to work hard to achieve it. 
Desire + Action = Soul defying magic. 
Without that want, that burning desire or the inexplicable exciting need you will find that your goals are harder to hit. In the exact same breathe however, you have to remember that you can want, desire and need something all you want in this world but if you are not prepared to work hard to achieve it, you might find that goal slip further from your fingertips. 
I’m going to say it again.
Desire + Action = Soul defying magic.
It’s truly that simple. 
I caught up with my gorgeous friend and soul sista’ Peta the other night for some serious pow wow business and goals talks. I walked away buzzing, but something she said to me hit me like a big warm hug and high five….
“You don’t have to know your how, you just have to know your why”.
Holy shit. It was oh SO Powerful and validated a lot for me.
You see. You can have all that you desire in this world. You really can. ALL of it. But you’re not going to get exactly what you want without desire + action. This statement summed it all up for me though – knowing the why behind whatever it is you want will give you the desire and catapult you in to action
Why do you want to loose more weight? Maybe it’s because you want to feel more confident, less bloated, grow your self love and detox your mind and body. 
Why do you want to jump out of a plane? Maybe it’s because you want to feel enthralled, free, and invincible whilst you free fall through the sky. 
Why do you want to get rid of the negative shit in your life? Maybe it’s because you are sick of wasting your energy on people who don’t deserve it and ready to live your truth instead of hiding in your shadows worried about what other people will say or think.
ALL of those Why’s to the goals are awesome, valid, amazing reasons. This is what you have to work out though.
You have to work out your why. WHY? Because it’s going to fuel your desire, stoke your fire and wake up that growing spark inside of you that is trying to live it’s calling. Once you have your desire burning inside of you, you will be unstoppable in your action. 
Working out your why and flaming your desire to me, all comes down to how we want to feel – and this is what it’s all about. Waking up, every day, with the feelings that you want to. 
I want to feel excited.
I want to feel at peace.
I want to feel aligned.
I want to feel blessed.

My why is because I want to feel this each and every day. I want to live a life by design – my design, not in a job working 40 hours a week doing things I don’t enjoy. I want to retire my mum. Buy her a big ole cottage house with a wrap around verandah and enough rooms to have all her grandkids we’ll give her one day. I know my why. It consumes me. Fills me up. Burns bright. Brighter than I could ever explain.

So are you ready to dive in to an amazingly powerful & exciting exercise? Yes? GREAT. 
1. Write down, with no (& I mean NO inhibition) your top 3 goals. Right now. I don’t care if you’re reading this at work, home, on the run. Just stop. Grab the closest pen & paper and write. Get em’ down. Your top 3 goals that you have that first come to mind. Loose 2 kgs? Cut down on 5 days working to 3 days working? Skydive? Change jobs? Start a blog? Run 5km? Book a holiday to an exotic destination?
2. Write next to them your why. Don’t stop. Let it flow. Don’t think, just write. Why do you want to achieve them? To feel better? to gain confidence? to get a guy? to feel accomplished? to stop arguing? increase your self love? Share your gift with the world? Give your mind and body peace and tranquility? Gain clarity? Become happier & healthier? Keep going, dig deeper, harder, look further than you’ve ever had to. Don’t hold back with your why either – remember we’re trying to grow your desire fire, keep the sparks hot and bright. There are no wrong answers here. Just your inner truth of why trying to get out – listen to whatever words are flowing and write them down. 
3. Write next to each goal three steps on how you can start achieving them. If a goal isn’t a goal until it’s written down, then allow me to extend that and say a goal is also not a goal until you have started an action plan. You have got your why now and that is a beatuifully exciting, overwhelming AMAZING thing. You know why you want it. You want to live a better life, be happier, get more excited, gain more confidence – that why will just grow the more you honour it, the more you dwell on it and the more you fuel your why’s .. what happens now is putting it in to action. So…what are you going to do? What are your steps? Whats the very first little thing you can do to get you started on your way. Maybe allow me to give you a little example of putting your why in to action: 
The goal: Book a holiday to an exotic location
The why? Because I owe it to myself. 
Because I am deserving of a life changing experience which is going to give me clarity, peace and a relaxing time filling my days with all of the things I love. 
Because I want to spend some quality time with my husband/wife/boyfriend/kids/self (whoever you plan on going with). 
Because my health has been suffering lately and I owe it to myself to give my body exactly what it needs.
Because I want to dip my toes in a different ocean, feel the warm sun on my face and cool afternoon breeze on my body and drink delicious fruit juices (& cocktails) by the ocean and pool all day.
(Get it? Just keep going and going and going. The more why’s you have the better) 
The action plan: 
1. Go to newsagents on my lunch break and buy a magazine on travel – full of pretty inspiring pictures, advice and travel destination. Rip some of those inspiring photos out & stick them wherever I can see them – on my bathroom mirror, on my computer at work, on my fridge. 
2. Do a rough quote on how much it is going to cost with flight websites like qantas, air asia, emirates, virgin, tiger airways, jetstar & accommodation websites like airbnb, expedia, so I know my end goal of how much I need to save.
3. Put my first $50 – $100 dollars in my savings account.
YEEEHAAA you are on your way you freaking superstar. Isn’t it exciting? Beautifully overwhelming? You are already knee deep in goal achievement. 
One of my all time favourite quotes is “you don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step”. The same applies for all of our goals. You don’t have to have it all worked out instantly, you don’t have to know your whole ‘how’. You’ll figure it out. Start with the very first step. Buying a travel magazine, or taking a new car you want for a test drive. 
Once we begin the first baby steps to living a goal, the rest becomes easier and the momentum grows. 
This is it though. You have your goals, now let’s get serious with achieving them. 
I want you to realise how powerful you are. How wonderful a life you can truly lead. How positive an influence you can be just by living your truth. How much fun, excitement  peace, joy and wonder you can have from following your desires and feelings and living a goal. 
I’ll be here, cheering you on every step of the way.
