Life feels surreal at the moment, truly surreal. Mr M & I are now at the countdown of 9 days until our trip of a lifetime, and to give you an idea of how quick that will go, by this Friday – when we officially finish work – we will only be 5 sleeps away. We can’t help but guessing what it will be like the night before we fly out, maybe sleepless, we’re sure lot’s of smiles and excitement and more than likely a few glasses of red wine – although champagne may be on the agenda for me. We have our going away party this weekend and are so looking forward to sharing some of this excitement with our nearest and dearest. I’m actually still trying to quell nerves and just let excitement be my only emotion at the moment but letting go of the fact that I ultimately am adventuring worlds unknown with almost no control over what can happen isn’t as easy as it sounds. I’m so lucky however to be doing this adventure with not only my partner but my best friend – Mr M. We really are a great team and I know that through any stresses or frustrations – which are all part of the experience – at least we have each other. In spirit of being this close to our Europe travels, I have naturally been pouring over Europe’esque inspired Pinterest photos and bring them to you today. Wish me luck as I try to sleep for the next 9 days xx

What to Pack. WHATTT the hell do I pack? No seriously. I pretty much have it all under control I don’t have a clue where to start, and have even been putting off writing my to do list of what to pack as I’m a little overwhelmed that I can only cram 20kg of clothes for 4 1/2 months in to my backpack. Inspiration like the below is helping tremendously though.

I think another equally important decision I need to make before the weeks out is just what exactly I’ll be wearing on the plane. We’ll be travelling 19 hours all up (+ an hour stop over in Dubai) so I want to be travelling comfortably but of course I still want to look half decent. I LOVE this whole outfit + handbag ideas come Wednesday when we’re boarding that plane at 6am – have I mentioned how excited I am?

Mr M & I have a plan to watch the sunrise & sunset in 10 different countries – & share it with you all of course! – Pictures like these from Santorini inspire like no other. Our fav thing to do in Perth is to go on breakfast dates together so I picture waking up with the sunset, then sitting in the warm sun eating our brekky talking about just what an amazing experience this really is

Mr M & I call ourselves the back street travelers. We can’t wait to ditch maps and just get lost. Give us tiny holes in the walls type restaurants playing traditional music and serving generous servings with the locals ANY day of the week.

When we were planning our big trip we sat together with a bottle of red wine & wrote out things we knew we couldn’t NOT do. Things like ski in Switzerland, do a cooking class in Italy, and of course, kiss under the eiffel tower. Lame? Yes, but something special to us? Absolutely. Here’s hoping there’s a weird kind of hue like in this photo when we see the mighty piece of infrastructure for the first time eeeeeeee.

Something we’re both REALLY looking forward to is walking the 5 towns of Cinque Terre. We know there was a devastating flood not too long ago so know it won’t look like it’s former glory but are still looking forward to it all the same.

There is something so refreshing about weekends filled with everything that you want it to be filled with. Plans that you made that you genuinely wanted to stick to, coffee dates you booked in with excitement and hang outs that you have been really looking forward to. My weekend was packed full of the ‘good stuff’ and even involved a surprise impromptu present from mum who picked me up to take me to get a massage after I’d complained of a sore shoulder in our weekly yoga class – don’t worry I know I have a special one in her. I seem to be finding the perfect balance with life at the moment and have a good mix of quiet nights in, loud nights out and taking extra good care of myself – & Mr M of course. These Monday posts have grown to become quite the ‘stick to your word Anna’ promises as I have now officially planned the ‘something incredible’ for Mr M that I first mentioned in this post, and I’ve also managed to order myself some gorgeous items from Printstagram which I only mentioned for the first time last week With that in mind, and loving finding inspiration in all things pretty – here is this weeks snapshot of what I’m crushing hard. pssst – you can follow all my boards & inspirations here
I have been blonde, then brunette, then blonde, then brunette then blonde then….you get the picture. But this girls hair inspires me to grow it to that length and keep it brunette forever. SO gorgeous & amazing hair envy.

I have big dreams and a crazy imagination when it comes to my future home – but as soon as I saw this picture -I first posted it on my dating websites facebook page – I knew it would certainly feature somewhere in my big backyard as a permanent outdoor movie area. It’s love.

The older I get the more I believe in Karma – but I think these are just some simple rules to live by if you need a gentle reminder every once in awhile

When Mr M & I are home from Europe I have big plans to do a few exciting fundraisers for the charity I volunteer for and one idea is to host my very own special High Tea – I don’t know much about it yet, but what I do know is that these little cups of decadent goodness will certainly be on the menu

I am trying to think of creative ways to do my hair when we’re in Europe so I don’t live in a constant high bun or pony tail – so when I saw this hair DIY I knew I had to give it a try. The steps to easy beach curls in less than 5 minutes are as follows: 1. Divide your hair into two parts. 2. Twist each section and tie with a hair tie. 3. Run your straighter/flat iron over both of the twist a few times. 4. Untie twists, and you’re done.

I love everything about all the seasons in Australia, I really do. The bright beautiful sun in Summer, the crunching of the fallen leaves in Autumn, the cold and rain in Winter and the bright pops of colour in Spring. In true Perth style this past weekend dished us up some deliciously spectacular Blue skies and warm weather smack bang in the middle of Winter. It made for the perfect weekend which included hosting my nieces 1st birthday party – more of that to come later in the week – and a lovely catch up with the family again on Sunday to drink in the sun and celebrate my older brothers birthday. I had a big weekend filled with fun, love and laughter and am ready to head in to this weekend with a clear mind and smile on my face. As with every Monday, here is a snapshot of what is keeping me fanatically inspired at the moment from gorgeous flowers to flawless make up.

There is only one word to describe this amazing make up look and that is – flawless. F.l.a.w.l.e.s.s – I love everything about it. From the smoldering smokey eye that is done to perfection, down to the nude lip. I would emulate this look for any event.

I adore Peonies – & tulips and lillies in case you’re reading Mr M – but mostly  Peonies. I always fill my house with fresh flowers but need to get my act together & try to get this kind of beautiful look going. It’s the right colour, right amount, right everything.

Audrey Hepburn always got it so right. From her style to her lady like touch but it’s this quote that I adore the most .. it’s true, even all these years later. So true.

Mr M the chef superstar has been whipping up some tantalizing soups recently that I have been happily devouring and I think a Chicken & vegetable one should be next on the menu, it looks amazing.

I have just found this beyond fab-u-lous ‘thing’ called Printstagram, it’s a website that prints all your instagram photos for you in groovy ways, like mini books, or on polaroids. Suffice to say I’m in love, and have ordered myself a few of my own prints of there for some cute little DIY’s.

There is really nothing worse than starting your week off feeling tired and exhausted which is where I’m currently at. I am still learning to listen to my body when it tries to tell me things like slow down or get some sleep but this week I am listening to it and will be focusing on early nights, relaxing, reading and slowing down a little. I have been reviewing my 25 things before 25 list recently too and am starting to give serious consideration to number 3 which was “Do something incredible for Morgs”, there are lots of ideas brewing but I’m hoping to have that organised before we go to Europe so I’m sure that will keep me occupied this week. As always I have been inspired by pretty things this week on Pinterest and here are my top 5 on Fashion, Home, Quotes, Recipes and DIY’s. You can follow my boards here
Naturally almost anything I am finding inspiration from is Europe related and this gorgeous outfit is no different – I would love to emulate this exploring the streets of Croatia.

I love everything about this kitchen, from it’s mainly White design, the big feature light, blackboard on the wall, big wooden bench top and how it just feels lived in. Pure kitchen love.

I love this, just simply love this. I have dreams as long as my arm and back and like simple little reminders that tell me anything is possible – it is.

I think this is just a great little idea to have in your fridge (covered of course) and even as a quirky and functional ‘thing’ to have displayed on your table for a dinner party

Hello sparkle and fabulous DIY glitter bottles, so glad to meet you – I think these would be so so handy to have on hand for any fun dinner party, high tea, event, anything really! It has been added to my long list of DIY to do when I am home from Europe

Remember how I said that Mr M & I have said no more big social outings until Europe? Well, that statement lasted all of 4 days. This past weekend saw us out drinking and eating Friday, Saturday and Sunday with some of our nearest and dearest and I couldn’t have enjoyed myself anymore if I tried. Life just fits at the moment and luckily I have never ever been one of those people to believe that not all good things last or that ‘something will go wrong because things are to perfect’. Nope. I believe that if we think good things and radiate positivity you will attract that right back. I do however feel I am in the craziest time vortex at the moment – like days are whizzing past faster and faster as Europe gets closer but at the same time, it feels like we’re in slow motion. It’s officially 44 days until we’re on a big jet plane headed towards lands and adventures unknown and Mr M & I couldn’t be more excited or overwhelmed with what we’re about to embark on. Here is this weeks round up of what is keeping me forever inspired from Pinterest – you can follow my boards here.
This look rocks casual style perfection for me from the hair right down to the ripped jeans. Love it all

I spend a lot of time in my study at home (or as I like to call it my inspiration room) so am forever on the look out for gorgeous style ideas to jazz up my room – this all white look with same sized framed photos taking up a whole wall (not to mention the dainty flowers and gorgeous chandelier) is my idea of office heaven.

I truly believe this with my whole being – how incredibly lucky we are that we’re alive, but this is a beautiful and simple reminder

I have just been gifted a guacamole recipe from Mr M’s grandma and I can’t wait to try it out so when I saw this recipe I knew I had to give it a go. Bruschetta is one of my favs so I think with home made guacamole, it would be next level

Scrabble is a big part of my family’s holiday memories so as soon as I saw these I knew I had to bookmark them to make when I get some time. I just loved this idea

If I told you this past weekend was filled with quiet nights in and not spending any money (which I should be doing as Europe is a mere 51 days away) I would indeed, be lying to you. Instead, it was booze fueled (with hangovers that followed) and packed full of dinner dates, lunch dates, breakfast dates and nights out. My gf & her partner are off to Canada for the next few years so we said farewell to them Saturday night – so exciting for them, but sad for me as I love having them here in lil ole Perth. I also caught up with a lovely blogger also named Anna (her blog is Seasons of Lust) who I hadn’t met before and loved finding out about how alike we really were whilst swapping stories and conversating over everything from dating to our favourite travel places. Mr M & I have said no more big nights out until we leave – as if that will actually happen – which I am looking forward to trying to attempt anyway and swap my nights out for nights in all of which will include baths, reading, cooking, movies & relaxing. Here are my weeks round ups of what is catching my eye, keeping me inspired and what I’m lusting after on Pinterest – you can follow my boards here.
I have a new current obsession which I can see lasting long in to even my European travels – Nude nails. So chic, so versatile and so easy to rock any big colourful rings with. Love love love.

With Winter well underway I crave nothing more than being cuddled up with a coffee by a fireplace – my dream home will include several, all closely surrounded by big comfy chairs (& a view)

As soon as I read this I knew it was one of those quotes that I would print out and hang up in my study. So simple, but so powerfully true. I think if we all followed the advice happiness would be that much more achievable

Mr M is the cook in our relationship and has taken recently to use our slow cooker so when we get home from work dinner is ready, delicious, and the house smells divine. When I spied this recipe though I knew I had to request him to make it. YUM

Today I write this post whilst continually glancing at the calendar shaking my head in utter disbelief that it is June. June?! At the end of next month, we’ll be exactly half way through the year and Mr M and I will be on a plane heading off on our big European adventure. As of today, we have 57 days to go, or to put it in perspective, 39 work days to go – because everybody counts things down using how many days left of work they have right? It’s starting to become much more real now the closer it gets and not just be a matter of spreadsheets, print outs and planning but instead conversations of exploring the Greek  islands, our cooking classes in Italy, skiing in Switzerland and of course – what exactly we each might want to pack to take with us. I am learning that you can never really be completely prepared for anything in life, and especially not travelling, the bigger lesson I am learning with it all though is actually learning to be ok with that. Things might not go exactly how you planned, flights might be delayed, or fights might spark up when you’re tired, and that’s ok. I’m also learning throughout all of this the importance of appreciating the journey leading up to the big event as much as the big event itself. Time goes so fast and even faster when you’re enjoying yourself or anticipating something so Mr M & I are ensuring we soak in each day as we count down and relish in each others excitement. Life is continuing as normal for now though and as we await until August 1st we have busy work days ahead and weekends packed full of catch ups and dinner dates with loved ones. With that in mind here is this weeks Pinterest loves that are currently inspiring me. P.s you can follow all of my boards here

When we’re travelling I want hair styles I can wear that I feel great with and are easy to do and beach curls and waves are fast feeling like they’ll be my ‘go to’ style – this is hair styling perfection to me though.

I adore bright spaces, big windows and anywhere I can see myself sitting with an inspiring book for hours so when I saw this picture I knew I wanted it as future house design inspiration. It was love at first look

Never have I read a quote so simple but so powerful – to me anyway. It’s so true though. You have the power to be who you want to be and do what you wish to do.

I have an insatiable appetite for anything coffee related so when I saw this photo of home made iced coffee I thought it was a little slice of heaven in a jar.

THE best lil DIY I have seen for awhile – You need a permanent marker, some plain white plates & a wild imagination. I would write my own cute little love stories on them. Perfect plates to pull out for dinner parties

Sometimes, when you least expect it, a weekend comes along that is exactly what you needed without you realising it or having to plan it. It will be packed full of social events which don’t break the bank, long conversations with beautiful friends, amazing food and a satsifaction that only comes with feeling you got everything out of every moment from your two days off. This was exactly what my weekend consisted of just gone and I have gone in to this week ahead with a relaxed and refreshed attitude. There is so much to look forward to at the moment, including the fact we’re only 70 days away from our Europe adventure so I’m taking extra care to take each day as it comes and remind myself that as fun as it is to plan for the future – all we really have each day is the here and now. With that in mind, here is what is catching my eye right now on Pinterest.

I love…l.o.v.e maxi skirts, and know they’ll be a staple go to outfit when I’m frolicking through Europe so I am trying to find as much style inspiration as I can for them before we go.

I have just received a stack of books I’d ordered that are meant to keep me inspired for all my weekends in – & inspired in general, so I can’t help but daydream of big comfy chairs by big windows to read them in

Sometimes the best advice is as simple as this. You know, it really will be ok..no matter what

My niece’s 1st birthday is coming up and mum, my sister & I will be doing all the catering for it so I’ve been trying to find lots of finger food inspiration for it – Arancini balls have made the list

When I saw this wall art I knew I had to do it for one of my corners in my house. I think I’ll do this when we’re home from Europe and use my travel photos to do it with

There is nothing quite like a weekend of opposites, full of events but quiet time, early starts but sleep in’s and relaxing nothingness but productivity which was exactly what my whole weekend contained just gone. We are a mere 78 days – but who’s counting specifics right? – away from Europe so are being extra hermit tight asses behaved when it comes to spending. I seem to have perfected the right balance of staying in vs still having human interaction however which is something I’m quite proud of. Friday night saw me + Mr M + bottle of red + couch + Movies whilst Saturday night saw us out in Perth City trying out a gorgeous new bar for my girlfriends 25th, all in all a lovely weekend all round. Here is what I am currently being inspired by on Pinterest however – p.s you can find all my boards here.

I have finally found the leather skirt that needed to be in my closet which I purchased over the weekend so I am now loving finding style inspiration to go with it (I have seen lots and lots of girls with buttons all the way done up when it comes to styling)

When – not if – I own a big beautiful house I always wanted it filled with loved ones so find outdoor entertaining ideas like this so inspirational. I also have a current obsession with open fire places as we come in to the cooler months. I LOVE this verandah
[source]
I have been quite stressed at the moment about work & when I saw this immediatley let it sink to to my whole being. Sometimes we really just have to close our eyes and let it go.

If I have never mentioned to you before, I am actually a cold hard chocolate addict. Really. No really. My addiction of choice is Twix bars so when I saw these homemade twix slice I thought I’d died and gone to chocolate heaven (Mr M has been asking me every weekend when I’m going to actually make them so I figure sharing this makes me all the more liable to follow through on it!)
[source]
Mr M has secretly made me quite the nerd with his love of computer games, software and Marvel movies so when I saw these gorgeous framed DIY’s I knew I had to make some for his man cave (aka anywhere else I can think of to put them in the house)

As Mr M & I are getting closer and closer to our big European adventure I am starting to become more and more of a stay at home kinda gal who is saving every single one of her pennies – except Saturday night where I was out on the town with red wine and great friends, hello hungover Sunday. We have 86 days left until we’re jetting off to explore this big beautiful world and I am getting more and more excited as each week goes by. It’s a big goal that is going to be lived and I am proud of that. Being said stay at home kinda gal though leaves me free to spend my extra hours writing, reading and of course finding lots of inspiration online and my love of Pinterest is only growing. Here is this weeks round up of loves in my 5 categories – Fashion, Home Decor, Quotes, Recipe’s and DIY.

I want need a Coral Blazer in my wardrobe and this is some gorgeous style inspiration when I get my hands on one, I will be emulating this look
